– 1 lb (450g) ground beef – 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced – 1 medium onion, finely chopped – 2 cloves of garlic, minced – 1-inch piece of ginger, grated – 2 tomatoes, chopped – 2 tablespoons vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon cumin seed – 1 teaspoon ground coriander – 1 teaspoon ground cumin – 1/2 teaspoon turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon paprika – 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste) – Salt, to taste – Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. If needed, you can add a little water to prevent sticking
