Sun Devil Jon Rahm Wins the 87th Masters Tournament

Jon Rahm won the 87th Masters Tournament with a score of 12-under par, winning by four strokes.

This is his second major championship win, having previously won the 2021 US Open.

He won the Ben Hogan Award in both 2015 and 2016, which is given to the best collegiate golfer in the United States.

Rahm attended Arizona State University, where he won 11 collegiate tournaments and was a two-time first team All-American.

With his win, Rahm has returned to World No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Arizona State became just the second institution ever to have both the winner and runner-up in the same Masters Tournament.

The weather heavily impacted scheduling throughout the weekend at Augusta National, with the main contenders finishing the third round on Sunday morning.

Rahm has 11 professional wins for Arizona State, the second-most after Mickelson's 42.
