Ingredients:
For the Paneer Marinade:
- 250g paneer, cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon red chili sauce
- Salt to taste

For the Chilli Paneer Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper (capsicum), diced
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon red chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Spring onions for garnish
Instructions:
Paneer Marinade:
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, red chili sauce, and salt.
- Add water gradually to make a smooth batter with a coating consistency.
- Dip the paneer cubes into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the paneer cubes until golden brown. Set aside.
Chilli Paneer Sauce:
- In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until onions turn translucent.
- Add diced bell peppers and cook for a few minutes until they are slightly tender.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, red chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Add this sauce mixture to the pan.
- Stir the mixture well and let it cook for a couple of minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the fried paneer cubes to the sauce and toss them gently, ensuring the paneer is coated evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions.
